When you grab ahold of me...

Cardigan - Urban Outfitters, tshirt - H&M, belt - thrifted, skirt - H&M, shoes - Modcloth.

Currently eating raspberries and listening to some Sublime with a background of remaining crickets and cicadas. Oh, summertime, where did you go?... This outfit was actually rather comfy, despite my feet/ankles being completely torn up. Strangely enough, they're not messed up from the shoes I've been wearing lately. So I've been avoiding flats because those hit right where those spots are. Ouch.

Anyway, today could have been better but I shouldn't complain. Tomorrow's Friday. Not that I have any big plans, but I have a three day weekend and a few potential plans! Possibly trying to go into the city to stop at Gianna's to get a delicious vegan chicken cheese steak (no cheese, but with lettuce... and I say I'm from Philly! hahah).

I hope you're all wonderful! xox Catherine

A new season.

Cardigan - Forever 21, tshirt - Wildfox, skirt - Target, heels - Deena and Ozzy, bracelets - antique store and flea market.

Yeah, I'm wearing these heels again. Actually, this is the second time I've worn them since my last post... I also wore them for my mom's surprise party. They're so comfortable. Seriously, if you have been debating over buying them, DO IT. So worth it.

Anyway, this free Wildfox tshirt is really comfy as well. My whole outfit is, as a matter of fact. And I'd love to continue writing, but I have a bit of homework to do then I believe I may hangout with a friend or two. Hope you're all wonderful!

PS Can you BELIEVE it's fall?... I can't.

PPS What I wore yesterday:

Cardigan - Mandee, top - Victoria's Secret, necklace - Wetseal, jeans - Pacsun, shoes - Blowfish.

And I just realized all of the pieces from that are from "typical mall stores," as I refer to them. Oh well. But that cardigan is itchy and those shoes stretched out so much that I was actually rather uncomfortable through school and work.

Urrrg

My computer has another virus. Expect a break of a couple days... until it goes away, gets fixed, or until I finally buy myself a Macbook.

I can see it all now.

Blazer - Zara, tshirt - borrowed from sister, jeans - Delia's, shoes - Deanna and Ozzy, bracelets - various.

This is my $20 blazer from Zara. Originally $70... and I was willing to pay that much. But I was lucky. I wasn't even planning on wearing these shoes today, but they hurt less than flats at first and it looked better with them. And I'm so glad I did. They're very comfortable. To anyone who was considering buying them - do it. I'm probably going to wear these shoes until they fall apart. But they're way comfier than the just-in-case shoes I brought. Score.

And still not okay with my legs as of late. They're too thin for my liking. I probably would be the only person to complain about losing weight.

Anyway, today wasn't too bad and it's Thursday. My first full week of school... five days, no "mental health" days. And tomorrow shouldn't be too bad either. Three out of five days I have two art periods, and tomorrow is one of them (as was today). Looks like I'll be ending my week quite nicely even though I have work immediately after school.

And on Saturday we're having a surprise birthday party for my mom! I have to clean up, cook a few things (such as these vegan crab cakes she and I love), and bake some vegan cupcakes.

Hope you're all well! xox Catherine

PS I'm undecided on what type of cupcakes I should make... give me some suggestions! :D

It's just another story.

Cardigan - Forever 21, dress - flea market, tshirt (underneath) - H&M, necklace - mom, bracelets - flea market/antique store, shoes - Dolce Vita.

Today wasn't that bad either. I got through my classes fine, I had two periods of art, and I'm almost completely caught up on what I've been not doing. The weather is nice and I'm content. And I made brownies (for my mom's birthday!). I'm convinced a day with brownies involved simply cannot be bad. I suppose there's things that could bring me down, but I'm not letting them, not today.

Tomorrow is picture day! But don't expect a post because I have work immediately after school. But you never know... sometimes I surprise myself. I wasn't planning on dressing nicely today, honestly. I wanted to just wear Chucks, but I decided the weather was too nice to waste. These sandals were fine, despite my blisters (from wearing new/new-ish heels the two previous days).

I hope you're all well. And since I have a light load of homework tonight, I'll get back to all of your comments. xox Catherine

Been wishing on, been holding on.

Sweater - Urban, tshirt - American Apparel, necklace - Forever 21, bracelet - thrifted, jeans - Delia's, shoes - Modcloth.com

...cough, cough, procrastination.

My bracelet:

This sweater is soooooo comfy. Well, yeah, today wasn't as bad as last week, but I still have summer stuff to do that was due last week. I'm a huge fan of not doing stuff on time, apparently. I decided to test out whether these shoes could last me the school day, and they did more so than any pair of flats I own (excluding sandals). Barely hurt. I think I'm developing an addiction to shoes. I bought a pair on Saturday at Target. I may debut them sometime this week. I justified it by saying I had a crummy week and a bad day at work. And I promised myself if I found birthday gifts for my mom and aunt I could do so... I'm awful at buying gifts. By the way, I'm not too fond of how I've mysteriously lost weight. It's kinda showing.

I still haven't really had the time to respond to any comments, I apologize! I'm quite busy with school, I hope you understand.

Quite busy.

Cardigan - Lux via Plato's Closet, tank top - Target, belt - H&M, jeans - Pacsun, shoes - Journeys, bag - Aldo.

I can't believe I haven't posted in a week... please understand that this week has been ridiculously busy, hectic and whatever else. My first week back to school was awful and I'm trying to recover from that. My classes might actually be tough, for once. Good or bad thing.

Anyway, I don't really have much to write about. Feel free to tell me what you've been up to, I'd love to hear! (Really, I honestly would)

But it feels necessary to mention 9/11, and my thoughts are with the people who lost loved ones eight years ago. RIP.

On another note, it's absolutely absurd my school didn't take a moment of silence.

Well, I hope your week was better than mine, and hopefully I'll return soon.

Oh, and here's a photo I snapped one of the last days of summer:

A Preview.

A few of my latest purchases.

Deena and Ozzy heels, Urban Outfitters.

Urban Vibe necklace, Wet Seal.

Bag, Aldo.

I'm quite content. Clearly, I'm feeling studs for this fall.

My other new additions to my wardrobe include two pairs of jeans, a plain navy tshirt, and a belt. Oh, and I've formed a new addiction - rose salve. It smells amazing and makes my lips so soft.

I really hope I'll be able to sit down and just catch up sometime soon. Until then,
xox Catherine.

Twitter

Finally got a twitter. I really don't know how to use it, but I'm sure I'll have no problem in a day or two.

Anyway, in case you're interested, my username is _silhouettegirl.

And I really apologize for the lack of updates. But as summer is quickly dwindling away, I'm trying to end it right. Oh, and I've been shopping twice within the past week... expect a post about some of my purchases.

I really can't believe Labor Day is Monday. Feels like Memorial Day was a day ago. I'm anticipating seeing the spring/summer 2010 collections. Spring/summer>fall/winter in my opinion, and since I've been ignoring it for so long, it seems that I'll be checking out both seasons at once. Score.

Hope all of you are doing well and enjoying the rest of your summer if you haven't gone back to school yet...
