I think the only way today could have been better would entail temperatures above 45 degrees. It's spring, not winter! School was quite nice, actually - during lunch we had a potluck to celebrate my birthday! My friends brought delicious food. It's still weird to me that I enjoy being at school lately because I spend most of my day in the art hallway.
So after school, I went out to eat with my sister then went up to her school. We hung out in the ceramics studio and I successfully threw using porcelain, which makes me pretty content. On the ride home, I checked my email on my phone and discovered I've been accepted at RISD! One of my top choices! I didn't even know they were letting applicants know today, so it was a pleasant surprise.
It seems like my night will be ending just as well as the rest of my day. And by the next time I post, I'll be eighteen. Hurrah.

PS My camera isn't actually fixed... I just managed to fiddle with its insides to get it to snap a few photos.

Happy Birthday! :) It's so awesome that you had a nice day! especially being accepted to RISD! Congrats! I hope you enjoy the last moments of being underage :p Now you're kind of officially and adult :p hahahahahahaa I'm kidding. No one believes that stuff. I'm turning 20 and I still feel like 17...

ReplyDeleteFELIZ CUMPLEANOS MY FRIEND! :) and i'm ultra happy for you and RISD ! that's awesome to the max! today i got accepted by NYU :) i'm so glad somewhere wants me (besides my safety school). i heard back from 2 of my other schools--including my favorite (northwestern) and got rejected, so it was great to hear from nyu. :) hopefully we hear good news from brown too! and I LOVE THAT DRESS ON YOU! the shape is perfect and this may even be my favorite look for you! it's just perfection.

ReplyDeleteWow, happy birthday! I still have a while to go to be 17 so I'm sort of scared of turning 18. I feel that once your 18, you're suddenly responsible of everything in your life for the rest of your life. What do you think? But then, I freaked out about turning 13 when I was 12, and i'm still alive :)
