Pink and Black.

Dress - vintage from flea market, belt - flea market, shoes - Target, bracelets - thrifted/flea market.

I think I decided I have to attempt to make a pattern from this dress and try really hard to make it in cotton. I love it post-alterations. Oh, awesome, I could probably get a roll of paper to use to make the pattern from my work. Sorry, that's just a mental note.

This belt is from a dress that cost me $1 at the same flea market. Seriously, I need to fit it in my schedule to go July 11/12. But I think I work both days... glorious, eh? And I get paid the 13th. Ah, oh well.

So yeah, I didn't actually wear this anywhere... more just wishing that I had somewhere to go where it would be somewhat appropriate. Meaning somewhere air conditioned, because polyester is awful.

PS I entered the I Love the 80's contest on Chictopia. I do not doubt that this dress is from the 80's, same goes for the belt. I also want to enter the bike contest because I could really use some exercise and I'd love a cute bike. Sigh.

PPS I want to try out a cropped top, but I wouldn't have any idea where to wear them without feeling scandalous and self-conscious. Any ideas?

  4. Your style is tremendous and I wish I frequented the flea markets more. The ones closest by to me aren't as good gold mines as they used to be, granted it's been a while. Bummer...

Oh, and thank you for the nice comment in return. :]

  6. Oh my goodness, this is a change from your usual wardrobe. I like it!
And maybe you could try wearing a bodysuit with the cropped top? Personally, I feel kinda weird wearing a crop top, because it's a shirt, but it doesn't cover all of what it's supposed to... If that makes sense.

i think if you wanna go for the cropped top make sure your wearing some highwaited skirt or shorts so that way you dont feel that self conscious.

  12. Yikes! I've never owned a dog in my life. For a while I was allergic to them, too. Thankfully, they never ate my things, especially bears [or homework.] Sorry yours did.

I'm glad you enjoyed my entry. I feel good when I know I've made someone laugh or be amused.

  18. IN LOVE WITH THE DRESS! And the belt is perfect with it. You should try a crop top going to the beach or getting lunch with a friend in that kind of area. Unless you're like me and haven't really gotten yourself to the beach...perhaps on a very hot summery day at a flea market?
Oh and my jacket was from my mom's closet, though I do love Forever 21 :)

  20. That dress is the cutest.

I've found that cropped tees feel most appropriate on the beach.
