These sandals are actually rather comfortable... which is nice for walking at least a couple of blocks everyday. I'm not going into details, but this past week has been weird. Imagine driving on a road, taking an unexpected turn, and then the road mysteriously goes straight up in the air and makes a few unexpected turns from there. Don't understand that? Neither do I. Neither do I.

In other news, my classes are almost at an end! It's sort of bittersweet. I'm looking forward to spending more time with my friends or doing whatever I please, but I'll miss having access to the studios and whatever else. I would have to say I'm most proud of my figure drawings and jewelry work - I've made a pendant and a belt buckle, and tomorrow I have the opportunity to try to rush to make a ring with a stone in under three hours. I think I can pull it off... or I hope.

And I hate to turn things negatively, but I've been feeling sort of uninspired lately. Maybe it's because I've been waking up late and have literally four minutes to get changed, or maybe it's because I'm surrounded by a different type of people - creative types, city types, etc. - and my self-confidence consequently lowers a small step as I compare myself. I'm not in a rut, but I just don't feel like I'm creative enough, you know?

Hope all is well! xox Catherine

  2. I love that dress! The color is gorgeous. Life is weird like that sometimes...the road doesn't seem to follow many rules, does it?

  3. there is no reason to get down on yourself .. often times ai find as i wonder through the hellhole that is nyc and brooklyn that those who most appear creative and inspired are exactly the opposite .. dont judge a book by their cover.. you are just as good as anyone you'll meet.

but i get that you may not feel up to dressing up.. consider this ./. i too have been rushing like a madwoman from one place to another and my style has suffered. we both know what you're capable if you had the time money or resources..
to get out of my rut i proposed to myself making a little notepad of outfits i thought would look nice together on the train or during my break at work . maybe it'll work out
