I love denim and I love seeing it played up, especially in pretty country settings with perfect lighting.

Refreshing.

I saw this on the AOL homepage and immediately knew I had to blog about it.

Some how a subscription to Elle has made its way to my house, and ever since then I've been slightly in love and way overjoyed when I see a new issue. Well, I'll probably never get this one, but it's only made me love Elle even more:

The ladies on the cover of the French Elle for April (?) '09 are not wearing make up, and there is no photoshopping.

I love make up and playing around with photo editing programs, but this is unbelievably refreshing, and a bold move in my opinion. Way to go. Following the slide show I originally viewed these pictures in was another displaying photoshopped covers next to unretouched photos of celebrities. The difference is incredible. I'll just say it again - it's incredibly refreshing to see something real.

On another note, the weather here is gorgeous today and I'm going to try to post an outfit. I finally went back to school and I'm feeling much better, which I'm certainly glad about because it's forecasted to go above 80 degrees this weekend. I'm thrilled.

And lastly for this post, the studs fell out. Quite frustrating, but I'm going to have some fun with bleach, an old pair of jeans (probably the same ones) and little studs because the prongs will probably actually stay in place.

Enjoy your day, guys!

Happy Birthday to Me!

I'll be completely honest - I feel like I'm the same age, and today was not that extraordinary. My morning started out pretty badly, my day was usual, I came home and had a hugeee meltdown (I'm being honest...) because something at that time ruined my day (hence why I have no outfit pictures today), I calmed myself down, I put icing on my cake, I prepared my dinner. My day was better ever since I began to prepare the food. And for dinner I had vegan crab cakes, and I am being completely honest, they were amaazing. Took more preparation than I'm used to, and my mom made most of it, but so worth it. And now I'm incredibly confused because people's actions don't match up with what's supposed to be real...

Well, here's a little something I find very aesthetically pleasing:

The colors in the first are so awesome. Love it!

Pretty.

all from Elle, Feb 09.

Seems like all of my favorite editorials or ads have similar qualities: soft colors and weather that appears to be nice, not too hot nor too cold.

I have no idea why the February issue of Elle came today when it was sold back in January, but I can't complain, I love magazines.

Well, what have I been up to?! Saturday I went to that concert, and it was so worth the $24 I spent in all. I had a fun time although perhaps I would have done things a little bit differently (I won't elaborate). I slept late for once in my life Saturday into Sunday and went to Pafa to browse. I enjoyed it, but I'm back to feeling like crap about my artwork. Today felt like a bit too much even though it was actually laid back. We have standardized testing three days this week, which means half days, so I'm half excited. It's a waste of time though!

My birthday is even sooner now (obviously), but I'm even more clueless now about what I want. Ideas always escape my head when I need them, that's always how it works!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
