You know I miss you more, more than yesterday.

...I love these boots. Strangely enough, they satisfied my craving for the perfect black clog boots that don't exist. I wore this yesterday and I froze while trying to take these photos. I came inside with my fingers numb. What a shame.

This outfit felt more early-spring than early-winter. I can pretend whatever I like, but it won't change anything. On another note, I've received acceptance letters to two schools I've applied to so far. Neither are very high on my list, but it's nice as a sort of pat on the back.

Despite my too-long nap, I'm still tired. Lovely.

Jacket - Urban Outfitters, cardigan - Forever 21, tshirt - Interpunk, jeans - Delia's, purse - Nich, boots - Doc Martens

Nothing says Americana like a pair of Thailand-made Dr. Martens, right? I wore this the day before Thanksgiving. It's a tradition that my siblings and I go to my aunt's house the night before to watch a movie or two, set up for dinner, etc. We missed the showing of the movie we wanted to see, so we went back and made food even though dinner was at my house this year. And then we watched Love Actually, which is one feel-good movie I'm not afraid to admit I adore.

I was planning on dressing up for dinner, but I woke up late and that left me disoriented. So it goes. I bought "I Was Told There'd Be Cake" by Sloane Crosley after reading her essays during a canceled class. I haven't started yet, but I'll be sure to let you know how it is.

Thanks for hanging in there with me - I've been so stressed and it's been taking its toll.

What you give is what you get

Cardigan - H&M, sweater - vintage, jeans - H&M, jewelry - antique, boots - Deena and Ozzy

I've been wearing the same thing pretty much everyday since I last posted. I've quite a bit on my plate, and sifting through my abundance of summer clothes has left me a little uninspired as well as upset since the season has passed.

Maybe the boots that I ordered will jump start my motivation to wear anything besides my Doc Martens, jeans, a tshirt, and cardigan. Incidentally, the boots are Doc Martens - but they're tartan fabric with a heel. I can't decide if I want to dye them. We'll see.

This past weekend I went up to Rhode Island to visit schools. It's anyone's guess what the lovely campus pictured below is, while the second photo is just a vibrant tree spotted on the way.

I've grown to detest talking about colleges, but I'm just going to say I really, really fell in love with Brown and RISD. Both were even more perfect than I could have imagined. Fingers crossed... not that I've sent an application to either yet.

Golden afternoon

Cardigan - BDG, tshirt - Wildfox, jewelry - antique, skirt - Urban Outfitters, tights - Target, boots - Deena and Ozzy

I quite like how these tights look. I've found it hard to come by sweater-y tights, especially patterned ones. No, these aren't quite as comfortable as the few pairs of leggings I have... but they'll do. Expect to see them this winter.

I was planning on wearing this with a different top, but it looked a little too prim for me. I don't feel my best when I'm wearing something too much of anything - too girlie, too edgy, etc.

I came home last night... a little after 12am... to discover my ACT scores were up. Let's just say I'm rather pleased with the results, and I'm telling myself to be less hesitant when proceeding with applications. Also, I'm going to take a little trip up to New England this weekend. I've never been further north than New York, so perhaps I'll get a taste of something new!

Anyway, this past weekend wasn't too shabby. I took some photos downtown with a friend, and I'm pretty pleased with the results.

But that's what wrong, I guess I just misunderstood.

Look, my hair's shorter! The weather's colder! Etc.! But it's Friday! So I guess all of the stress from the week can temporarily halt itself!

I believe tomorrow morning I'll be heading to the city to take photos, but it's something I genuinely want to do, y'know? I'm sick of pretending to enjoy doing things just so I have something to do. Example: the play. The idea seemed great, but if something becomes a hassle, it's not worth it.

I'm trying to mentally stray away from oversize clothing, but I just tend to gravitate toward it when it's freezing in the morning and I want to wear something comfortable.

On another note, check out me and my neighbor's puppy. He was trying to bite my necklace, how sweet!
